Hindu Festivals

There are many Festivals in Hinduism, But there is no fix date of any festival in Hindus. Hindu Festivals are always identified by Hindi Calendar. In Hindi Calendar month is known as “Maas”, and Date is known as “Tithi”. There are two “Paksha” in a “Maas”. Their names are “Krishna Paksha” and “Shukla Paksha”. Hindu Festivals always belongs according to “Tithi”.

First 15 days of a month “Krishna Paksha” always ends with “Amavasya” and last 15 days “Shukla Paksha” always ends with “Purnima”.
